The Department of Labor is a Federal agency which is set up to ensure the rights of those in the workforce, those that have retired and those that are looking for work. If there is a confirmed incidence of harassment in the workplace, the Tennessee Department of Labor will conduct a thorough investigation and handle charges and fines for those responsible.

New Jersey Department of Labor  

The New Jersey Department of Labor ensures that each employer in the State is complaint with Child Labor Laws. Although children may work on the family farm, they are unable to take part in other types of employment.

Louisiana Department of Labor

The Louisiana Department of Labor investigates complaints by employees. Those complaints may be against employees, such as harassment allegations. However, those complaints may be against an employer, such as being forced to work in an unsafe environment.

Vermont Department of Labor

The Vermont Department of Labor investigates allegations of harassment in the workplace. They will conduct a thorough investigation in order to prevent further instances of harassment.

Michigan Department of Labor

The Michigan Department of Labor works to ensure that all employers and employees are paying taxes on the salary earned. When employees are paid under the table, they do not contribute their fair share to taxes and they are not entitled to the benefits that result from paying those taxes.

Texas Department of Labor

During investigations of complaints, the Texas Department of Labor makes certain that each employee is aware of their rights and that those rights have not been violated. For example, each employee is entitled to breaks after a certain number of hours worked and they should not be asked to work through those breaks.

Missouri Department of Labor

The Missouri Department of Labor can assist retirees when their rights and benefits earned during previous employment have been violated. They may help with issues such as social security payments and other retirement benefits.

The Department of Labor and Industry seeks to enact laws which protect workers in the State of Pennsylvania. The Department of Labor also enforces those laws in order to prevent violations of workers' rights.

New Mexico Department of Labor  

The New Mexico Department of Labor works to prevent discrimination in the workplace, such as people being passed up for a promotion based on race or gender.

Maryland Department of Labor  

The Maryland Department of Labor works to ensure that every worker in the State is able to work in a safe working environment.

Washington State Department of Labor  

The Washington Department of Labor will assist workers, the unemployed and retirees in the State, when they feel their rights have been violated.
